Vehicle Inspection Appointments Rescheduled Due to Curaçao’s World Cup Match

Local, | By Press release June 24, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The Traffic and Transportation Department (UOVV) has announced special arrangements for customers who have vehicle inspection appointments scheduled for Thursday, June 25, between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

According to UOVV, affected customers may visit the vehicle inspection center anytime between Tuesday, June 23, and Friday, June 26, during regular office hours to complete their vehicle inspection without needing to make a new appointment.

The temporary measure comes as the Government of Curaçao has granted public sector employees a half-day off on Thursday to allow them to follow and support the national football team during its FIFA World Cup match.

UOVV emphasized that the exception applies only to customers with appointments scheduled between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on June 25. All other customers are expected to attend their inspections at the date and time indicated on their appointment confirmation.

The department apologized for any inconvenience the adjustment may cause and thanked the public for its understanding as the island prepares to support Curaçao during its historic World Cup campaign.
