WILLEMSTAD – The United States has emerged as Curaçao’s largest source market for stayover tourism, surpassing the Netherlands in March 2026, according to data from the Curaçao Tourist Board.
A total of 24,043 visitors arrived from the United States, representing a 9 percent increase compared to March 2025. American tourists stayed an average of 5.7 nights, with 65 percent opting for resort accommodations.
In contrast, arrivals from the Netherlands declined by 5 percent, with 21,385 visitors recorded during the month. Dutch tourists remained among the longest-staying visitors, averaging 11 nights per trip, and showed a preference for non-resort accommodations.
Despite the decline, tourism officials say the Dutch market remains stable within a broader European context, noting that other European markets—particularly Germany—showed strong growth during the same period.
