WILLEMSTAD – Giuseppe Mancinelli, Deputy Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and representative of the UNOPS Multi-Country Office for the Caribbean, paid an introductory visit to Governor of Curaçao Mauritsz de Kort on Monday, August 31.
The meeting focused on further strengthening UNOPS’ involvement and operational presence in the Caribbean region.

UNOPS is a United Nations organization that supports governments and other partners in areas including project implementation, infrastructure development, procurement and sustainable development.
During the meeting, Mancinelli and De Kort discussed the organization’s role in the Caribbean and opportunities to expand its activities and cooperation in the region.
Mancinelli’s visit to the Governor comes as UNOPS continues discussions with Curaçao authorities on potential cooperation in areas related to infrastructure and sustainable development.
