Two Winners Crowned at Miss Dutch Caribbean Final in the Netherlands

VEENENDAAL – Two new titleholders were crowned Sunday evening during the final of the Miss Dutch Caribbean pageant held in Veenendaal.

The title Miss Dutch Caribbean 2026 was awarded to 25-year-old Sharifa Serwa, who lives in Amsterdam and has roots in Curaçao and Ghana.

According to the organizers, Serwa is actively involved in advocacy for children’s rights and environmental protection. She also works as a model. With her victory, she will now advance to the national selection process leading to the final of the Miss Nederland, scheduled for June 27, 2026.

First Teen Title Awarded

For the first time in the competition’s history, a winner was also selected in the Miss Dutch Caribbean Teen category. The title went to 15-year-old Zenarah Hodge, who was born in Sint Maarten and currently lives in Groningen.

Hodge says she hopes to use her platform to raise awareness about racism and discrimination and to encourage young people to embrace their individuality.

Additional Title

Another contestant, Chenesis Peny, was named Miss Beauty of the Dutch Caribbean. She will have the opportunity to represent the Netherlands internationally at a beauty pageant.

The Miss Dutch Caribbean competition was established in 2025. According to the organizers, the pageant aims to provide women with Caribbean roots across the Kingdom of the Netherlands a platform to showcase their culture, talent, and ambitions.
