WILLEMSTAD – TUI has announced a new opening date for the highly anticipated TUI BLUE Curaçao resort, confirming that the property will officially welcome its first guests on November 1, 2026.
The opening had originally been scheduled for September 1, but the company said it is taking additional time to ensure every aspect of the resort meets its quality standards before opening.
"We are taking more time to perfect every detail of the resort," Petra Kok, Head of External Communications and spokesperson for TUI Netherlands, told travel industry publication TravMagazine.
According to TUI, guests who had already booked stays for the original opening period were informed of the change in mid-July. The company said it has worked directly with customers and travel agents to arrange suitable alternative accommodations or travel options.
Construction and finishing work at the resort continue at full pace, with all parties involved working closely together to complete the project.
Despite the delay, TUI says it is looking forward to welcoming guests later this year and introducing the new resort to visitors.
The opening of TUI BLUE Curaçao is expected to further strengthen Curaçao's tourism sector by adding a new international resort to the island's growing hospitality offering.
