WILLEMSTAD – TUI BLUE Curaçao has launched a new professional training program for 27 local employees as part of efforts to strengthen hospitality skills and create further development opportunities for Curaçao workers in the tourism sector.
The training is being conducted in cooperation with At Your Service Hospitality (AYS) and focuses on guest service, communication and professional conduct.
The new program builds on an earlier training initiative carried out before the resort opened, during which approximately 80 employees received hospitality training.
According to TUI BLUE Curaçao, the latest initiative is intended to give local employees opportunities to continue developing their skills after entering the workforce rather than limiting training to the period before the resort's opening.
The program also reflects the growing importance of professional development within Curaçao's tourism industry, where employees are in direct contact with visitors and play an important role in the overall guest experience.
In addition to the current training program, TUI BLUE Curaçao is working toward obtaining official recognition as an SVH-approved learning company.
Such recognition would further strengthen the resort's role as a workplace where employees and students can combine practical experience with professional hospitality education.
The initiative comes as Curaçao's tourism sector continues to expand, increasing demand not only for additional workers but also for locally trained employees capable of meeting international hospitality standards.
Through the collaboration with AYS and its efforts to obtain SVH recognition, TUI BLUE Curaçao says it aims to invest in the long-term professional development of its local workforce and create opportunities for employees to grow within the hospitality industry.
