Tribute Paid to Long-Serving Parliament Worker Ruth Martis

WILLEMSTAD – Member of Parliament Juniel Carolina has paid tribute to the late Ruth Martis, a long-serving staff member in the cleaning department of the Curaçao Parliament.

During his address, Carolina described Martis as a dedicated and compassionate worker who carried out her duties with commitment and care. He emphasized that employees like her form an essential part of the institution, even if their contributions are not always visible to the public.

The parliamentarian extended his condolences to Martis’ family, friends, and colleagues, acknowledging the impact of her loss on those who worked closely with her.

Carolina also expressed regret at not being able to attend her funeral due to being abroad, but noted his deep appreciation for her service and the role she played within Parliament and its supporting departments.

He concluded by wishing strength and courage to all affected during this difficult time, highlighting the importance of recognizing and valuing every individual who contributes to the functioning of public institutions.
