Transparency and internal culture central to CBCS reform agenda

| By Correspondent February 25, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Transparency, internal unity and ownership form the backbone of the CBCS reform agenda through 2028. The Strategic Plan describes efforts to strengthen leadership, professional development and organization-wide collaboration, while improving communication with stakeholders and the public.

The CBCS will evaluate recommendations from an IMF Central Bank Transparency Code review conducted in 2025 and implement measures that align with its objectives. Clear communication, consistent reporting and accountability are seen as essential to maintaining credibility and independence.

According to the plan, public trust is not only a goal but a prerequisite for effective central banking in a rapidly changing economic and geopolitical environment.
