WILLEMSTAD – A new training program aimed at developing qualified school leaders has been launched in Curaçao, bringing together educators and school principals to strengthen leadership within the education system.
The initiative focuses on preparing participants to become “Vakbekwame Schoolleiders,” equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to guide schools with confidence, vision, and a strong focus on quality.

According to organizers, the program represents more than just an investment in professional development. It is also seen as a long-term commitment to improving the future of education on the island and supporting the development of Curaçao’s youth.
Strong leadership is considered essential to ensuring that schools provide high-quality, inclusive, and future-oriented education, particularly at a time when the sector is facing increasing challenges.
The program is being carried out in collaboration with Fontys Hogescholen, which is contributing its expertise and experience to support the training process.
Participants have been encouraged to approach the program with dedication and purpose, as part of a broader effort to build a stronger and more resilient education system in Curaçao.
