WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao’s traffic enforcement team carried out another targeted operation on Monday, July 27, 2026, aimed at addressing violations of traffic laws across the island.
During the action, officers issued several official reports for missing or expired vehicle documents, including violations related to insurance, road tax and driver’s licenses that were not in order.
The team also addressed traffic violations involving two groups of young cyclists who were riding at night without proper safety equipment. The cyclists were found without lights, brakes and bells, creating potential risks for themselves and other road users.
As part of the operation, a moped and a vehicle were removed from the road because their required documentation was not in order.
The traffic enforcement team stated that these controls will continue as part of ongoing efforts to improve compliance with traffic regulations and increase road safety on Curaçao.
