WILLEMSTAD – A tourist has died after becoming lost while hiking in the Boca Ascension nature area on Curaçao, according to local reports.
The incident occurred during a walk through the природный area, where the visitor reportedly lost track of the route. Initial information indicates that the tourist was not carrying water and was in poor physical condition, with dehydration believed to have played a role in the death.
Emergency services, including the Korps Politie Curaçao, fire department, and ambulance personnel, responded to the scene after the individual was located. Resuscitation efforts were immediately initiated but were unsuccessful.
