WILLEMSTAD – The Public Works Service (OW) in Curaçao has announced that road maintenance works will begin on Monday, May 11, in the Weg naar Welgelegen area of Otrobanda, with the project expected to last three weeks.
The works will focus on resurfacing sections of the roadway that are currently in poor condition.
The project will be carried out by MNO Vervat, which has been contracted to execute the maintenance.
According to OW, residents and businesses in the area will continue to have access to their homes and establishments during the construction period.
For other motorists who normally use the road, alternative routes will be put in place and clearly marked with barriers and traffic signs.
Authorities are urging drivers to proceed with caution and follow all traffic directions while the maintenance works are underway.
