WILLEMSTAD – Three healthcare organizations have demonstrated strong financial and administrative management by submitting their approved 2025 annual accounts to Minister of Health, Environment and Nature Tyron Boekhoudt.
The foundations Fundashon Sonrisa, Klinika Capriles and Fundashon pa Maneho di Adikshon (FMA) officially presented their annual financial reports to the minister. All three reports include an unqualified auditor’s opinion, confirming that their financial administration meets the required standards.

According to the Ministry of Health, the approved annual accounts show that transparent and well-organized financial management is achievable within Curaçao’s healthcare sector.
Minister Boekhoudt expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the three organizations, noting that they set a positive example by providing timely accountability and complying with administrative and financial requirements.
The minister emphasized that attention should also be given to positive developments within the healthcare sector. While challenges within healthcare rightly receive public attention, Fundashon Sonrisa, Klinika Capriles and FMA demonstrate that there are also organizations where processes are functioning properly and where transparency, responsibility and good governance are priorities.
“These organizations show that good governance and solid financial administration go hand in hand with quality healthcare. That deserves recognition and can serve as an example for the sector,” Minister Boekhoudt said.
The ministry stated that strengthening accountability and improving governance remain important elements in ensuring a sustainable and reliable healthcare system in Curaçao.
