WILLEMSTAD – The Pyrmont Curaçao, a new adults-only all-inclusive resort that will operate under Marriott’s Autograph Collection, is scheduled to open on November 16, 2026, adding 300 rooms to Curaçao’s rapidly expanding hotel inventory.
The resort was first announced in 2023 and had initially been expected to open earlier in the second half of 2026. The project has experienced some delays, with the opening now planned for mid-November.
The Pyrmont is being developed on the former site of the Cerro Bonito mansion along Penstraat, close to downtown Willemstad. The newly constructed beachfront property will have 300 rooms, including 28 suites, with all accommodations offering ocean views.
The resort will operate as an adults-only property and feature eight restaurants and five bars, including a rooftop bar.
Plans also include an infinity pool surrounded by private cabanas and daybeds. Along the waterfront, developers are constructing a 250-meter boardwalk and breakwater. The breakwater will create an almost enclosed swimming area for resort guests.
Given Curaçao’s importance as a diving destination, The Pyrmont will also have an on-site dive and water sports center offering diving certification and excursions to explore the island’s coral reefs.
As part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the resort is expected to emphasize a more distinctive Curaçao identity rather than follow a standardized hotel concept. Autograph Collection properties are generally designed around individual concepts intended to reflect the character of their destinations.
According to Marriott’s booking information, the first available stays are currently scheduled from November 16. Initial room rates are being advertised in the upper US$600 range, although prices can vary according to dates and room categories.
The opening comes as Curaçao continues to experience strong tourism growth. The island received more than 780,000 stayover visitors in 2025, considerably above pre-pandemic levels.
That growth has encouraged substantial investment in new hotel rooms, particularly in the higher-end and all-inclusive segments.
The Pyrmont will join several international all-inclusive brands that have entered or expanded on Curaçao in recent years. Zoëtry Curaçao Resort & Spa opened in 2021, followed by Sandals Royal Curaçao in 2022.
Another major all-inclusive development, TUI BLUE Curaçao, is expected to open in the Soto area in October 2026, shortly before The Pyrmont.
The two openings will further expand Curaçao's accommodation capacity during a period in which the island is seeking to balance continued tourism growth with increasing pressure on infrastructure, housing, employment and other public services.
