WILLEMSTAD – In the coming weeks, maintenance work will be carried out on the walls of the National Archives building, known as Bolo di Batrei, located on Scharlooweg. These works are expected to cause disruption within the building through the end of February.
Due to safety considerations for both staff and visitors, the National Archives will temporarily be unable to receive customers in its study rooms in the usual manner during this period.
In order to continue meeting its obligations and providing services to the public, the National Archives will offer temporary digital services. Clients are requested to submit their inquiries or requests by email to nationaal.archief@gobiernu.cw. Staff members will assess how assistance can be provided digitally. If digital support is not possible, an appointment will be scheduled and a suitable space will be made available for research, within the limits of what is feasible at that time.
The National Archives apologizes for the inconvenience and asks for the understanding and patience of its clients. The Bolo di Batrei building is considered one of the most valuable historic structures in the city, and careful maintenance is essential to ensure it remains in good condition and continues to provide a pleasant environment for visitors.
