WILLEMSTAD – The Department of Driver’s Licenses is informing students that registration will open on Monday, April 13, 2026, for those planning to study abroad and wishing to obtain their driver’s license before leaving Curaçao.
The initiative offers students the opportunity to register and take their driving exam ahead of their departure for studies overseas. Authorities say this will help ensure better planning and smoother service for applicants.
Students who intend to study abroad during the upcoming academic year and want to take their driver’s license exam are required to submit their registration by email to the Department of Driver’s Licenses.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration. The deadline to register is Friday, June 12, 2026.
Registrations can be sent to puz@gobiernu.cw. Applicants must include a copy of valid identification along with proof of their application to the Stichting Studiefinanciering Curaçao (SSC) or another relevant institution responsible for students studying abroad. This documentation must confirm that the applicant will be studying overseas during the 2026/2027 academic year.
Students who are going abroad without financial support from SSC must provide a declaration from their current school confirming their status.
