WILLEMSTAD – During his working visit to the Leeward Islands, Dutch State Secretary Eric van der Burg visited the Court House on July 16, 2026.
During the visit, the State Secretary met with the newly appointed President of the Joint Court of Justice, Mr. Sigmar Carmelia. Van der Burg was also introduced to the organization and received a guided tour of the courthouse.
During the tour, the State Secretary was informed about the tasks, responsibilities and role of the Joint Court of Justice for the Caribbean countries and public entities within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The visit to Kas di Korte was part of Van der Burg’s broader working visit to Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao.
