Small Organization, Big Responsibility: Oversight Body Faces Capacity Limits

Local, Politics, | By Correspondent April 7, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The Raad voor de Rechtshandhaving continues to operate with limited capacity while overseeing the justice systems of multiple countries within the Kingdom.

The report notes that the organization is relatively small, meaning that the absence of even one inspector can significantly impact productivity.

As a result, senior officials are often required to take on operational roles in addition to strategic responsibilities.

Despite these constraints, the oversight body completed its planned activities for 2025, including inspections, policy monitoring and advisory work.
