WILLEMSTAD – The official presentation of the contestants for Miss Universe Curaçao 2026 took place Thursday, May 14, at Papagayo Beach Club, marking the start of what organizers describe as a new era for the national pageant.
During a press conference organized by Curacao International Crowned Queens under the leadership of Gionel Virginie, the six contestants competing for the national crown were officially introduced to the public.
This year’s edition is considered historically significant because Curacao International Crowned Queens is responsible for organizing the 60th edition of Miss Universe Curaçao.
The six contestants representing different communities and districts are:
Bianty Rojer Gomperts – Amerikanenkamp
Liandra Lindeborg – Jongbloed
Sharepha Pauletta – Curaçao community in the Netherlands
Gillian Dacosta Gomez – Saliña
Shurmeen Martis – Santa Maria
Tyiandra Brunken – Tera Cora
Prize Package Worth 50,000 Guilders
Organizers also revealed additional details about the prize package awaiting the winner.
According to the organization, the future Miss Universe Curaçao 2026 will receive prizes valued at approximately 50,000 guilders. During Thursday’s presentation, it was also announced that part of the prize package includes a car sponsored by HCR.
Intensive Preparation Period Ahead
Although the road to the final will be relatively short, organizers stressed that contestants will undergo an intensive professional preparation program in the coming months.
The training process will include:
- Workshops and seminars
- Runway coaching
- Dance and physical conditioning
- Social and community activities
According to Curacao International Crowned Queens, the goal is to deliver a high-quality competition and show while involving the people of Curaçao more closely in the process leading up to the crowning of the next queen.
“Miss Curaçao is entering a completely new stage and era,” the organization stated during the press conference.
Grand Final Scheduled for July
The grand final of Miss Universe Curaçao 2026 is scheduled for July 26, 2026.
The relatively early date follows requirements from the international Miss Universe Organization, which instructed participating countries to select their representatives before August.
Organizers also announced plans for a special television program that will allow the public to get to know the contestants more closely, follow their journeys, and watch various challenges throughout the competition.
The winner will go on to represent Curaçao internationally at the Miss Universe pageant.
