WILLEMSTAD – Several food and beverage businesses located at Curaçao International Airport will temporarily close or relocate as part of the airport’s newly launched outbound terminal expansion project.

According to Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), the redevelopment will affect part of the Commercial Boulevard area located between Panda Express and the ATM and Parking Pay machine area.

The affected spaces include the former locations of Cinnabon, Auntie Anne’s, Juan Valdez Café, and Mini Pancakes Amsterdam.

As part of the first phase of the project, the Commercial Boulevard branches of Juan Valdez Café, Cinnabon, and Auntie Anne’s will officially close operations at the end of the day on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

However, airport authorities confirmed that Juan Valdez Café will continue operating from its existing upstairs location inside the Departures Hall.

CAP also announced that Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s are expected to reopen later this year upstairs in the Departures Hall with refreshed concepts and upgraded guest experiences.

Later in the year, Juan Valdez Café and Cinnabon are also expected to return to the Commercial Boulevard with renewed concepts while maintaining their upstairs presence.

At the same time, the airport plans to expand its food and beverage offerings for departing passengers by introducing additional concepts in the Departures Hall, including Quiznos, Papia Mia, and a wine bar.

Meanwhile, Wendy’s, Panda Express, Victoria Gelato, and Bar 22 Express will remain fully operational throughout the construction period.

Airport authorities said the redevelopment forms part of broader efforts to modernize the airport experience while accommodating rising passenger volumes.
