WILLEMSTAD – The redevelopment of the Zakitó and Koredor area is moving forward, as Minister of Economic Development Roderick Middelhof has signed an agreement to begin the second phase of the project.

Following the completion of the first phase, the next stage will focus on further upgrading the area, with plans that include the renovation of the small beach at the entrance of Koredor, the construction of a new beach near the Sundance building, and the expansion of recreational facilities.

The Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) is financing the project, while the Curaçao Tourist Board will oversee coordination of the works. Implementation will be carried out under the supervision of Heren2 Caribbean.

The second phase aims to make the area more attractive for both residents and visitors, giving Zakitó a renewed boost as a recreational destination on the island.
