WILLEMSTAD – A group of staff members from the Curaçao Detention and Correction Center (SDKK) has received recertification in “Scanner Image Interpretation,” as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security within the facility.

The certification was awarded on April 20, 2026, following training provided by Smart Security Consultancy & Training, a company specialized in security-related instruction. The course, which must be renewed annually, combines both theoretical and practical components.

In total, six SDKK employees completed the program, which focuses on improving the ability to interpret X-ray images during security checks. The training is designed to enhance the detection of prohibited items and ensure more effective use of scanning equipment within the prison system.

During the certification ceremony, remarks were delivered by Head of Security Robert Provence, Rudwin Mogen of Smart Security Consultancy & Training, and SDKK management representative Ludwin Maria, as well as one of the course participants.

SDKK management congratulated the staff members on their achievement and emphasized its commitment to continuously improving safety standards and operational effectiveness within the correctional facility.
