WILLEMSTAD – Motorists should expect possible delays in several areas of Curaçao this week as road construction, asphalt work, sewer installation and maintenance are carried out from October 5 through October 9.
Asphalt work is scheduled in Souax West, Fuik, Montaña, Rancho, Kirindongo Abou and Jan Thiel.
Work will also take place along Santa Rosaweg, where crews will repair sidewalks and carry out additional improvements.
Sewer pipes will be installed along Goetoeweg and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, while road-cleaning activities are planned for Schottegatweg West.
According to the government, the projects will be carried out in phases in an effort to minimize disruption to traffic and residents.
Drivers are being asked to follow temporary detours and traffic instructions and to take possible delays into account when planning their journeys.
Authorities thanked the public for its understanding and cooperation while the work is underway.
