WILLEMSTAD – The Public Works Service (OW) in Curaçao has announced that road maintenance works will begin on Monday, May 11, in the Mahuma area, with repairs scheduled to last approximately eight days.
The maintenance will take place on Mahumaweg, Kaya Bor, and Kaya Wans, where road surfaces have deteriorated and require resurfacing.
According to OW, the project will consist mainly of asphalt works to improve the condition of the affected roads.
The works will be carried out by Ortela General Contractor N.V. and will take place during the morning hours.
Authorities said residents and businesses located in the area will continue to have normal access to their homes and establishments throughout the maintenance period.
For other motorists using these roads, alternative routes will be made available and clearly marked with barriers and traffic signs.
OW is urging all drivers to exercise caution while traveling through or around the work zone and to follow all posted traffic directions to ensure safety during the roadworks.
