WILLEMSTAD – The Public Works Department (OW) has announced that road maintenance work will begin on Winston Churchillweg on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The project is expected to last approximately four weeks and will take place in the Santa Maria area.
The work will focus on repairing and resurfacing sections of the road that are currently in poor condition. Construction company MNO Vervat has been contracted to carry out the project, with most of the work scheduled to take place during nighttime hours.
Residents and businesses located along Winston Churchillweg will continue to have normal access to their homes and establishments during the maintenance works. However, motorists who regularly use the road should expect temporary traffic changes.
Alternative routes will be indicated with orange barriers and signage to guide drivers during the construction period.
The Public Works Department is urging all motorists to exercise caution when driving in the area while the maintenance works are underway.
