WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Public Works (OW) has announced that road maintenance and paving works are currently being carried out at various locations across Curaçao as part of ongoing efforts to improve the island’s infrastructure.
According to the ministry, the projects are aimed at enhancing road conditions and improving safety and accessibility for motorists and residents.
The roadworks are currently taking place in the following areas:
- Santa Rosaweg
- Souax West
- Gato
- Juan Dominga
- Kaya Djembe
- Seru Fortuna
- Kanga
- Pater Andres Belloweg
- Wishi
- Weg naar Welgelegen
- Nestorweg
- Paradijs Phase 2
- Koraalspechtweg
- Jandoret
OW stated that the works are being executed in phases to minimize disruption to traffic and nearby communities as much as possible.
Motorists are advised to follow posted detours and traffic instructions and to take into account possible delays while the maintenance projects are underway.
The ministry thanked the public for its patience, understanding, and cooperation during the execution of the road improvement program.
Road maintenance has remained a priority for the government in recent years as authorities continue efforts to address aging infrastructure and improve transportation conditions throughout the island.
