WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP) is continuing road improvement projects at several locations across Curaçao, including speed bump installations, asphalt paving, sewer upgrades and road marking works.
According to the ministry, new speed bumps will be installed on Nestorweg, Kaya Noord Zapateer, and at locations in Stenen Koraal, Paradijs and Wimpiri as part of ongoing traffic safety improvements.
Road resurfacing with new asphalt is scheduled for Monreposweg, while paving works will also be carried out on Kaya Bor and Kaya Wans in Mahuma.
In the Montaña area, construction crews will work on Stakamahachiweg, Cocolodeweg and the road leading to Fuik. The project includes the installation of new sewer pipes followed by asphalt paving.
Additional road works are planned for Koraalspechtweg, Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Goetoeweg.
Meanwhile, road marking operations will be conducted on Andres Belloweg, and finishing works, including shoulder improvements and other final details, will continue along Santa Rosaweg.
The ministry said the projects will be carried out in phases to minimize inconvenience to motorists and nearby residents. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time, as temporary delays may occur while the work is underway.
Authorities thanked the public for their patience and cooperation as the infrastructure improvements continue.
