WILLEMSTAD – The entrance to Punda will be temporarily adjusted over the next two weekends as maintenance works are carried out on Kaya De Ruyterkade, the Public Works Department (OW) has announced.
Starting Saturday, March 28, the road will be closed during working hours on both Saturdays and Sundays for a period of two weekends. The works will focus on repairing speed bumps that are currently in poor condition. Contractor Sixstar has been assigned to carry out the project.
During the execution of the works, Kaya De Ruyterkade will be inaccessible to traffic. Motorists entering Punda will be redirected via Nieuwestraat, which will serve as the temporary access route. The diversion will be clearly indicated with orange barriers and signage.
Public transport vans will temporarily operate from the Waaigat area.
OW is urging all drivers to exercise caution and remain attentive to traffic guidance during the works.
