Rib’e Lugá Holds Information Session in Parke Leyba

Local, | By Press release June 8, 2026

Next Information Session Scheduled for June 27

WILLEMSTAD – As part of its efforts to inform the community and reach individuals living in Curaçao without valid residency status, the Rib’e Lugá team, in close cooperation with the Admission Organization (TO), recently hosted an information session in Parke Leyba.

The event forms part of a broader series of community outreach sessions being organized across various neighborhoods and locations throughout Curaçao. The initiative aims to provide clear information about the registration and legalization process available through the Rib’e Lugá program.

During the session, participants received detailed explanations about the purpose of Rib’e Lugá, the eligibility requirements for participation, the documents needed to apply, and the various steps involved in the registration process.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for direct interaction between community members and representatives of Rib’e Lugá. Attendees were able to ask questions, discuss their individual circumstances, and receive guidance regarding their options under the program.

To ensure that the information was accessible to all participants, presentations and discussions were conducted in multiple languages. Organizers said this multilingual approach helped improve understanding and encouraged greater community engagement.

A key message highlighted during the session was the importance of starting the registration process as early as possible. The Rib’e Lugá team encouraged individuals who may qualify for the program to register through the official website, even if some required documents are still being processed.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that the necessary documents have already been requested. According to organizers, this allows the registration process to begin without unnecessary delays and enables participants to take the first steps toward regularizing their status in a timely manner.

The strong turnout and active participation during the Parke Leyba session underscored the demand for reliable, accessible, and accurate information about the legalization process. As a result, Rib’e Lugá plans to continue its information campaign in communities across Curaçao to reach as many people as possible and provide guidance to those interested in participating.

What is Rib’e Lugá?

Rib’e Lugá is a temporary registration and legalization program for undocumented individuals residing in Curaçao. Through the program, eligible participants may apply for a temporary residence permit.

One of the key requirements is that applicants must be able to demonstrate that they were already present in Curaçao before November 13, 2025.
