WILLEMSTAD – The Inspectorate for Public Health will remain fully operational during the current transition period, with three inspectors serving as the primary points of contact for healthcare institutions, healthcare professionals and the wider community.

The Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN) announced that Sing Pong Lee has been designated to oversee health protection matters, Joram Parabirsing will be responsible for pharmaceuticals, and Clifford de Lannoy will handle environmental and nature-related issues.

The three inspectors will ensure that the Inspectorate continues to carry out its supervisory duties while the government completes the process of appointing new leadership.

According to the ministry, all responsibilities and functions of the Inspectorate remain fully in force during the transition period. The agency will continue monitoring compliance, overseeing healthcare services and carrying out its regulatory tasks without interruption.

The ministry also indicated that the name of an acting Inspector General will be announced in the near future.

The announcement is intended to provide reassurance to healthcare providers, institutions and the public that oversight of the healthcare sector will continue uninterrupted while the leadership transition is finalized.
