Prime Minister Pisas Meets Director-General for Kingdom Relations to Strengthen Cooperation

WILLEMSTAD – On Monday, March 16, 2026, Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas received a courtesy visit from Barbera Wolfensberger, Director-General for Kingdom Relations at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands.

Wolfensberger was accompanied by Gerbert Kunst, Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curaçao, and St. Maarten.

The visit served as an introductory meeting, during which Wolfensberger formally presented herself in her new role as Director-General for Kingdom Relations.

During the discussions, Prime Minister Pisas and Wolfensberger exchanged views on the key priorities of the Pisas III Cabinet, including poverty reduction and education, as well as ways in which the Dutch government can collaborate to support Curaçao’s sustainable development.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation within the Kingdom and maintaining continuous dialogue in the interest of Curaçao.
