WILLEMSTAD – On Monday, February 9, 2026, Anja van Bergen, accompanied by Marijn Bom and Nanelia Walfenzo of St. Turtuga Entertainment & Art, St. Freedom Festival Fleur de Marie and the Freedom Meals initiative, paid a visit to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort.
During the meeting, the Governor spoke with the organizing representatives about preparations for the Freedom Meals, which will once again be held on May 5 in Curaçao.
This year, organizers aim to host the Freedom Meals near the Governor’s Palace, complemented by a musical program. As in previous editions, participants will be encouraged to engage in conversations with one another about the meaning of freedom.
