WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Police Force (KPC) has conducted three house searches as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of armed robberies and vehicle thefts across the island. Although no arrests were made during the raids, officers seized several items considered important to the investigation.

The searches were carried out on Tuesday morning at two addresses on Kaya Berom in Montaña Abou and a third location in Weto.

According to information released about the operations, investigators confiscated materials that could provide evidence in connection with the recent crimes. Police have not disclosed the nature of the seized items or whether they include weapons, stolen property, or other evidence.

No suspects were detained during the three searches, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, police reported an arrest in a separate armed robbery investigation.

On Sunday evening, officers arrested a 19-year-old man on Kaya Dalpega in connection with an armed robbery at a lottery office in Montaña Abou on October 1.

Investigators are also examining whether the suspect may be linked to other recent robberies on the island.

Following his arrest, the young man was brought before an assistant public prosecutor, who authorized his continued detention pending further investigation.

Authorities have not released the suspect's identity or provided additional details about the evidence connecting him to the lottery office robbery.

The recent police operations come amid investigations into multiple armed robberies and vehicle thefts in Curaçao.

Police are continuing their efforts to identify those responsible and determine whether any of the incidents are connected.
