WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao police arrested two men suspected of involvement in armed robberies during separate overnight raids in Steenrijk and Tera Kòrá, as authorities intensify their investigation into a series of robberies on the island.

The coordinated operations involved several specialized units of the Curaçao Police Force (KPC), including the robbery investigation unit, the arrest team, and forensic investigators.

According to local media reports, the first operation took place at a residence in Steenrijk, where members of the arrest team entered the property and detained a suspect. The man was subsequently transported to the police station in Rio Canario for further questioning.

Shortly afterward, police conducted a second raid at a residence in Tera Kòrá, where another male suspect was taken into custody.

The involvement of specialized police units indicates that the operations formed part of a broader criminal investigation into armed robberies.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities or ages of the suspects, nor have they specified which robberies the two men are suspected of committing.

It is also unclear whether weapons, stolen property, or other evidence were seized during the searches.

Police are continuing their investigation into the series of armed robberies, and additional arrests have not been announced.

The two suspects remain under investigation as detectives work to establish their possible involvement in the crimes.
