WILLEMSTAD – A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening at Curaçao International Airport (Hato) in connection with an ongoing robbery investigation, just as he was preparing to leave the island.
According to the Curaçao Police Force (KPC), officers apprehended the suspect at approximately 8:30 p.m. on July 1 as part of an investigation into a robbery that took place some time ago.
The suspect, identified by the initials K.M., is a 25-year-old Curaçao-born man.
Police said the arrest was made moments before the suspect was scheduled to depart Curaçao.
Following his arrest, K.M. was brought before an assistant public prosecutor, who ordered his detention pending further investigation.
Authorities did not release additional details about the robbery or indicate where or when the incident occurred. The investigation remains ongoing.
