WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao police arrested a 29-year-old man Saturday night after officers conducting a preventive check allegedly found a loaded magazine containing live ammunition in his bag.
The arrest took place at approximately 11:42 p.m. on September 12 on Kaya Neblina during a preventive control carried out by a unit of the “Satis Est” team.
According to the Curaçao Police Force (KPC), officers checked the man's bag and discovered a magazine loaded with several live rounds of ammunition.
Police identified the suspect by his initials M.F.M.W. He is 29 years old and was born in Curaçao.
The ammunition was confiscated as part of the investigation.
The suspect was brought before an assistant public prosecutor, who ordered that he remain in custody pending further investigation into the alleged violation of Curaçao's firearms legislation.
