WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao police arrested a 22-year-old man earlier this week in connection with a residential burglary in the Caracas neighborhood after receiving a report that a break-in was in progress.
The Police Control Room dispatched a patrol to the area after receiving information about the burglary.
By the time officers arrived at the residence, the suspect had already fled. Police immediately searched the surrounding area and located the man a short time later.
According to police, the suspect was still carrying items believed to have been stolen from the residence when he was apprehended.
The stolen property was confiscated as part of the investigation.
The 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody and remains detained while authorities continue investigating the burglary.
