Police Arrest 20-Year-Old Suspect in Vehicle Parts Theft Investigation

WILLEMSTAD – Detectives investigating a vehicle parts theft have arrested a 20-year-old man after recovering one of the stolen car parts at his residence.

According to the Curaçao Police Force (KPC), the theft occurred between May 31 and June 1, 2026, on Geleenstraat, where vehicle parts were reported stolen.

On Tuesday, July 7, at approximately 12:10 p.m., officers from the Vehicle Theft Investigation Team arrested the suspect, identified by the initials A.W.F., at a home on Mahumaweg.

During the operation, investigators discovered and confiscated a bumper that had been reported stolen in the theft. The bumper was found attached to a vehicle parked in the yard of the residence.

Following his arrest, the suspect was brought before an assistant prosecutor, who ordered his detention pending further investigation.

Police said the investigation into the vehicle parts theft remains ongoing.
