WILLEMSTAD – Caracasbaai Beach will be partially and fully closed to the public on several days this week due to preparations and activities related to the Oceanman event.

Authorities announced that temporary closures will affect both the beach area and parking facilities between May 14 and May 17.

According to the schedule, the parking area will be partially unavailable on May 14 and 15 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. while preparations for the international swimming event are underway.

On May 16 and 17, both the beach and parking area will be completely closed to the public from 5:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Officials stated that the closures are necessary to guarantee the safety of participants, visitors, and organizers during the Oceanman activities.

The public is being asked to follow instructions from event organizers and relevant authorities throughout the closure period and to make use of alternative beaches during the affected days.

Despite the preparations on May 14 and 15, the beach itself will remain accessible to the public during those two days.

Authorities thanked residents and visitors for their understanding and cooperation and expressed hope for a safe and successful event.
