WILLEMSTAD – Law Enforcement and Security Training Institute ORV held a certificate ceremony on Tuesday, May 5, recognizing 29 participants who successfully completed practical training programs aimed at strengthening professional mentorship within Curaçao’s law enforcement and security sectors.
The ceremony honored 24 Practical Supervisors for Penitentiary Institutional Workers (PB PIW) and five Practical Supervisors for Border Control Training (PB OGB).
As part of their training, the participants completed practical supervisor courses designed to prepare them to guide, motivate, and evaluate new colleagues during their professional development process.
The curriculum covered key subjects including communication skills, coaching and guidance techniques, and professional conduct, equipping the graduates with the knowledge and practical tools needed to serve as mentors in their respective fields.
During the ceremony, the graduates received their certificates in the presence of ORV Director Alpha Falbru and Sector Manager for Post-Initial Studies Jowenny Troeman.
According to ORV, the achievement represents more than a personal milestone for the graduates. The institution said the training also contributes to strengthening responsibility, integrity, and professionalism within Curaçao’s law enforcement and security system.
ORV expressed pride in the results and said it is confident the newly certified practical supervisors will help inspire and guide future generations of professionals in the sector.
