WILLEMSTAD – The Public Works Department (OW) is reminding motorists that parking is strictly prohibited on both main lanes of Hamelbergweg following the official reopening of the road.
The roadway was reopened to traffic on Wednesday and is now fully accessible in both directions.

According to OW, the black-and-yellow markings along the edge of the road clearly indicate that vehicles are not permitted to park or stop and wait on the roadway.
Authorities warn that any vehicle found parked on the road in violation of the traffic regulations will be removed by the Curaçao Police Force.
The department is urging drivers to comply with the rules in order to avoid fines, towing costs, and unnecessary traffic disruptions.
“Let us avoid these situations and respect our traffic regulations,” OW said in its public notice.
The warning comes as traffic resumes normal flow on Hamelbergweg following the completion of road works and the reopening of the important traffic corridor.
