Nine Securitas Parking Controllers Receive BAVPOL Diplomas

WILLEMSTAD – On Thursday, March 19, 2026, nine parking controllers from Securitas received their diplomas after successfully completing the BAVPOL training program at the ORV.

The BAVPOL 2025-I class for parking controllers began its training on May 6, 2025, at the ORV. The nine graduates followed an intensive study program, combining their professional and personal responsibilities during the day with their training in the afternoons.

The diploma ceremony took place at Securitas and was attended by ORV Director Alpha Falbru, Securitas directors Paul de Kloet and Jeroen Kibbelaar, Mahesh Mukhi of Stichting Willemstad Parking Management, Manager of the Post-Initial Studies Sector Jowenny Troeman, and other invited guests. The event was moderated by ORV Communications Manager Ronald Richardson.

During the ceremony, several speakers addressed the graduates with congratulatory remarks, emphasizing dedication, discipline, and motivation as key factors behind the group’s success. The ORV Director praised the graduates, describing them as exemplary students and highlighting their strong performance throughout the program.

Special recognition was also given to the top three graduates of the BAVPOL 2025-I class: Eldrick Foendoe, Bruno Knol, and Marilène Nicolina, who distinguished themselves with outstanding results.

In accordance with Curaçao’s Parking Meter Ordinance of 2012, the nine Securitas parking controllers are now authorized to contribute to maintaining order, control, and safety in their areas of responsibility as Special Police Officers.

The ceremony concluded in a pleasant atmosphere, allowing attendees to congratulate the graduates and socialize. Both ORV and Securitas management expressed pride in the achievement and extended their congratulations once again to all graduates.
