WILLEMSTAD - Following a successful first edition, the Postgraduate Program in Behavior Change will return to Curaçao this September. The program, developed by Behavior Change Group, is aimed at professionals who want to better understand human behavior and apply that knowledge effectively in their work.
Many societal and organizational challenges—ranging from sustainability and health to public policy and organizational development—are fundamentally rooted in human behavior. The program offers a scientifically grounded approach, teaching participants how behavior is formed, which psychological factors play a role, and how to translate these insights into effective interventions.

The course is designed for higher education professionals from fields such as communication, government, human resources, education, and sustainability. Participants will work on their own real-life case during the program, ensuring that the knowledge gained can be directly applied within their organization or projects.
The program consists of nine intensive training days, supplemented by personal coaching and the use of a proven behavioral model. This combination aims to provide not only theoretical insight but also practical skills to achieve lasting behavioral change.
According to Myrthe George-Verhulst, the local initiator of the program, practical application is key. She noted that many projects and policies fail not because of a lack of good intentions, but because of challenges related to behavior.
Participants will be able to apply what they learn immediately in their professional environment. The program is also being offered at a significantly reduced cost—57 percent lower than in the Netherlands—while allowing participants to access the training locally.
Interested individuals can register until the end of May. Due to the intensive nature of the program, the number of available spots is limited. For more information, the brochure, or registration, interested parties can contact Myrthe George-Verhulst locally or visit the organization’s website.
