New Art Installation ‘Terms & Conditions’ to Be Unveiled at Sint Jorisbaai

WILLEMSTAD – A new outdoor art installation by Curaçao artist Ailsa Anastatia will be unveiled at Sint Jorisbaai on Saturday, October 10, as part of the celebrations marking the Day of the Country of Curaçao.

The artwork, titled “Terms & Conditions,” explores how people relate to one another and to the natural environment. The rugged landscape surrounding Sint Jorisbaai was deliberately chosen as an integral part of the installation and the ideas Anastatia seeks to explore through her work.

The installation forms part of “uncommissioned: Curaçao,” an initiative by SKOR and Novo Collective that brings art into unexpected outdoor locations across the island.

Rather than limiting works to traditional galleries or exhibition spaces, the project places installations within Curaçao’s landscape and public environment, creating encounters between art, people and their surroundings.

With Saturday’s unveiling, Anastatia’s “Terms & Conditions” will officially become part of the project’s sculpture route.

The unveiling will take place at Sint Jorisbaai at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
