WILLEMSTAD – Juice and ice manufacturer Lovers will remain available on the Curaçao market for the time being, despite ongoing legal and financial challenges facing the company.
That confirmation comes from Lovers USA, which stated that maintaining the brand’s presence on the island is a priority.
According to Cindy van der Dijs, continuing the Lovers brand is not only important for the community but also serves as a tribute to their father, the founder of the company. She emphasized that the team is committed to keeping the brand alive and accessible, something they take pride in.
The announcement comes amid a turbulent period for the company. Lovers is currently involved in a dispute with major shareholder Vanddis. Bankruptcy has been declared, and two court-appointed trustees are now overseeing the process, including the potential sale of the company’s assets.
Despite these developments, Lovers USA stressed that product availability on Curaçao will continue, with a focus on maintaining stability and continuity in the market.
At the same time, the company indicated that it is working on developing new and innovative products alongside its existing range.
