Large Marijuana Cultivation Operation Discovered in San Willibrordus

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao police discovered and confiscated a large quantity of marijuana plants during a judicial search in San Willibrordus early Thursday morning. No arrests have been made so far.

According to the Curaçao Police Force, officers from the Organized Crime Division carried out the search at an address in San Willibrordus at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20.

The operation was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation into the suspected cultivation of marijuana.

During the search, investigators found a large quantity of marijuana plants. Police also seized equipment and other materials believed to have been used for cultivating the plants.

Authorities have not disclosed the exact number of plants confiscated or provided an estimated value of the marijuana.

Despite the discovery, police said no suspects had been arrested in connection with the case as of Thursday.

The Organized Crime Division is continuing its investigation to determine who was responsible for the cultivation operation and whether other individuals were involved.
