THE HAGUE – The ultimate goal of Curaçao’s reform agenda should be improving the lives of the island’s most vulnerable residents, according to National Reform Commission member Rudsel Sophia.
In the Temporary Work Organization (TWO) annual report, Sophia said he hopes the reforms will leave a lasting legacy through a stronger social safety net, tax reform, improved public finances, data-driven education policies and a better connection between education and the labor market.
He also pointed to efforts to lower business costs, modernize government services and strengthen support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
“I hope that after these essential reforms, the less fortunate members of our community will gradually experience improvements in their quality of life,” Sophia stated.
