THE HAGUE – King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will carry out an official working visit to the United States from Monday through Wednesday, with stops in Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Miami.
The visit is aimed at strengthening economic relations between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and key U.S. states, particularly Pennsylvania and Florida. It also comes at a symbolic moment, as the United States marks 250 years of independence, highlighting longstanding historical and bilateral ties between the two countries.
During their time in Pennsylvania, the royal couple will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen. In Washington D.C., they will be joined by Prime Minister Rob Jetten, while the Florida leg of the visit will include Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sjoerd Sjoerdsma.
Also present in Florida will be Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management Vincent Karremans.
The working visit is expected to focus on economic cooperation, trade opportunities, and strengthening partnerships in key sectors, while also reinforcing diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and the United States.
