WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao recorded another strong month for tourism in June 2026, welcoming 62,867 stayover visitors, an increase of 9 percent compared with June 2025.

According to the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), visitors in June generated 497,426 overnight stays, representing a 12 percent increase compared with the same month last year.

The average length of stay also increased, reaching 7.9 nights, a growth of 3 percent compared with June 2025.

Hotels and resorts remained popular among visitors, with 54 percent choosing resort accommodations, while 46 percent stayed in alternative lodging options.

Netherlands Remains Largest Market

The Netherlands was Curaçao's largest tourism market in June, with 20,029 arrivals, representing a 22 percent increase compared with June 2025.

Dutch visitors stayed an average of 12.1 nights. Of these travelers, 44 percent selected resort hotels, while 56 percent chose alternative accommodations.

The United States remained the second-largest market, contributing 16,070 visitors. However, arrivals from the U.S. declined by 6 percent compared with June 2025.

CTB explained that the temporary decline was largely related to travel patterns surrounding the FIFA World Cup. Curaçao's historic participation in the tournament encouraged more local residents to travel abroad, reducing some available airline capacity for inbound U.S. visitors.

American visitors stayed an average of 5.9 nights, with 66 percent choosing resort hotels and 34 percent selecting alternative accommodations.

Colombia Continues Strong Growth

Colombia continued its strong tourism performance, ranking as Curaçao's third-largest source market in June.

The island welcomed 7,144 Colombian visitors during the month, an increase of 24 percent compared with June 2025.

Colombian travelers stayed an average of 5.3 nights. Resort hotels were preferred by 58 percent of Colombian visitors, while 42 percent stayed in alternative accommodations.

CTB said June's results confirm the continued strength of Curaçao's tourism sector and contribute to what is already the destination's best first-half performance in history.
