Jeon Draws Massive Crowd at Brionplein Ahead of Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival Appearance

WILLEMSTAD – Aruban singer and songwriter Jeon delivered one of the biggest musical highlights of the weekend on Curaçao, attracting thousands of fans to Brionplein for a free concert that brought the Blue Wave Innercity Festival to a spectacular close.

The performance transformed Otrobanda into a giant outdoor celebration as music lovers of all ages gathered to watch one of the Dutch Caribbean's most internationally successful artists perform live.

The packed event underscored Jeon's popularity throughout the region and provided festivalgoers with a preview of what awaits later this year when he takes the stage at the 2026 Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival.

Organizers recently announced the final additions to the festival lineup, confirming that Jeon will perform on September 4 alongside international stars Sean Paul and The Jacksons.

Jeon, who rose to international fame with the global hit "Machika," has become one of Aruba's most recognizable musical exports and has collaborated with major Latin artists including J Balvin, Anitta, and Nicky Jam.

Full Festival Lineup Now Complete

The 2026 edition of the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival will take place from September 3 to 5 at the World Trade Center Curaçao and features one of the strongest lineups in the event's history.

The festival will officially begin on September 1 with a free opening concert by Afro 23 at Kura Hulanda Village.

The main festival program opens on September 3 with performances by Alain Pérez and Gente de Zona.

On September 4, festivalgoers will be treated to performances by salsa legend Rubén Blades, rock icons Toto, Jeon, jazz pianist Monty Alexander, R&B artist PJ Morton, Sean Paul, and The Jacksons.

The final day of the festival on September 5 will feature Grammy-winning performer Jon Batiste, Latin music superstar J Balvin, Afro 23, guitar virtuoso Al Di Meola, jazz legends Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves in a tribute to John Coltrane, as well as Caribbean favorites Kassav' and Stephen Marley.

Following the massive turnout at Brionplein, excitement is expected to continue building as Curaçao prepares to welcome another world-class edition of one of the Caribbean's premier music festivals.
